When we comes to the question may I survive from death first we should makes it clear:what is death and what is "my "(here maybe we could consider "my" as a personal) and what can be called survive after stopping living ?

Okay, let's start with the process of stopping living:death of the body 

Because of whatever the original input was eventually the blood is no longer circulating and oxygen isn't making its way around the body .So the brain becomes oxygen starved because of the lack of oxygen getting to cells.The cells are no longer able to carry on their various metabolic processes(新陈代谢过程).

Because of this they can't repair the various kinds of damage they need or create the amino acids and proteins (氨基酸蛋白质)they need so as decay begin to breakdown.They don't get repaired as they would normally do and so eventually have breakdown of the crucial cell structure and boom the body's dead .

We can make a summary here that all above can be briefly called :bodily death.

When we make it clear what is death (wether you agree that or not ,it's totally okay that you can hold your own idea ),we can do a further discussion about the most crucial point :Are we still exist after the death of my body?

Now we should face another question we have mentioned above :what I am or who I am?Is there life after death ?what I made of?what is a person ?

There are two crucial theory about the question :

First we can call it dualist.

This view hold the opinion that people consist of bodies and souls .

A person is a combination of a body and something else distinct from the body .What we should pay more attention is that the souls is separate from the body and is immaterial and nonphysical.

The other one is monist .

From the monist perspective :people just a certain kind of material object ,very fancy and amazing material object,which is a body can do things that most other material objects can't do .We also can call it physicalism.

Maybe for most of the Chinese this is the most acceptable view.Because most of us all are taught Marxism(马克思主义) and from Marxism we know that we will become nothing after death .We have no choice but be cultivated into a physicalism and believe in physicalism.    

Whereas ,as a human being we always willing to believe that we can still life even become immortal after death.Since we don't know what will happen when we die.Are we still feel pain or not ?Can we still see anything ? All we just sink in the endless dark ?That's so terrible !We are scared because of ignorance .

Let's come back to the dualist view !

We assume that we already have a soul and a body ,but how them work .

The dualist think that the soul can directly give orders to the body and the body generates impute that eventually gets sensed felt by the soul.

Now we know the soul give the order to the body directly ,how to do that ?

The soul has a very intimate connection with the body but the person is not the soul and the body .The person is just a soul so even if that intimate connection gets destroyed the person the soul could continue to exist .

Woo!I think it's time to do the summaries.

First we should make it clear that all we have discussed above is based on the theory of dualist :people consist of bodies and souls .

Then there are some questions still confused us:

1.Are bodies and souls distinct ?Is the soul to be understood in terms of this immaterial object ,the soul?So are there two kinds of things ?

2.Does the soul ,even if it exists ,survive the destruction of the body ?

3.If it survive ,how long can it be existed and where is the location ?Can immaterial object have locations ?

There are some other questions in my mind :

1.If there are two part of a person :body and soul ,what's the different function of the body and soul?If they did the same work can I automatically draw a conclusion that there are no difference between the dead and alive ?

2.If I am survived from the death is the survival still the person who is survived ?This is can be put briefly:If I survived from death ,wether my soul will think and act like I was alive or not ?Is my soul just the same as the person I am?If it's the same ,also the dead and alive will become the same .If it's not I don't think wether I am survive or not will make any difference ,it will become meaningless because the soul exist is not who I am.
